Authentic Madeira Cottage in superb location

This delightful self-catering holiday cottage has unsurpassed views across the sea and is situated in a very quiet neighbourhood on the beautiful island of Madeira. On two floors, it is suitable for 2 - 3 guests and is perfect for those wanting to 'get away from it all'.

The translation of Por do Sol is 'sunset', we will leave it up to your imagination to decide what memories you'll be bringing back from your holiday!

Located in Faja da Ovelha, the property is ideally situated for those needing a starting point to explore the surrounding countryside and mountainous regions of western Madeira.

The cottage has two bedrooms (one double, one single) and a shower room on the top floor. The ground floor accommodation includes a comfortable living room which is furnished in a very pretty style. Wood features and warm decorative colouring add to the very cosy feel of the property.

Also on the ground floor is the well equipped kitchen and small bathroom. The kitchen comes complete with a coffee machine, water purifier, toaster, gas hob and oven, washing machine and refrigerator. In case you feel like a BBQ, a grill is also available.

Cable TV will keep you in touch with rest of the world if you wish, although sipping a glass of chilled wine on the covered terrace will surely be more to your liking whilst listening to music from the supplied CD player.

There are restaurants and convenience shops in the vicinity just a few minutes from the cottage. In the larger coastal village of Calheta (approximately 15 minutes by car), there is a large supermarket which is open daily from 9 am until 9 pm.

Also at Calheta, is the island's only yellow sand beach, although if you prefer the more typical madeiran beach of pebbles, Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar are very close by.



At just 50 Euros per day (for two people), this really is a great option for those wanting a relaxing vacation far away from the hustle and bustle of Madeira's cities.
